I realized I could draw when I was five. My sister walked me through the steps of drawing Woody Woodpecker. I was surprised when the final drawing actually resembled the original Woody Woodpecker image. At this time I also started studying under, Dora Levenstein, a renown pianist from Russia. Her son was an artist, so I was always surrounded by music, art and creativity. As a child, our family vacations consisted of exploring art and science museums. Growing up, I was an introvert and loved being alone, finding solace in art, writing, and anything creative.
I received art scholarships in elementary school to the Columbus Academy of Art and Design, but always passed classes up for sports. I received an art scholarship in high school and was accepted into the Art & Technology program at The Ohio State University, which only accepted 50 students at a time.
As an adult whenever I have a blank canvas in my life, I always turn back to art, for healing and self expression.
In 2010, I had a leg injury, which kept me from working out most of the year. The first month, I found comfort painting hundreds of lines for the ocean of a piece I was donating to the St. Baldrick's Foundation and Circus Couture. I've been working as a commissioned artist off and on my whole life, but this is when I decided to live my passion and be an artist.
I find inspiration in many things, especially in nature and travel, but my favorite subjects are food, babies, and sexy ladies.
I currently have an art studio in Venice, California.
